Need photo of inside of remote

Tried to repair my remote control/key fob today and when I opened it up, there is a disconnected wire leading from the IC to where???
Anyone had this before? Reccomended fixes and or photos of an opened up unit would be great.
Thanks,
Rob

I think minor revisions were made to the remotes' internals over the years. It'd be interesting to see if somebody posted a picture that matched yours.

The stupid things are so delicate and finicky. As much as people compalin about the transmission, the remotes have given me far, far more aggravation than anything else on the car.

Re: Need photo of inside of remote

The wire is normally soldered to the piece of metal that makes contact with the keyring holder. I think the idea was that it would use the keyring as part of the antenna.

OK Kuoh. that makes sense. The wire in my remote is not attached to anything. I will solder it to the little metal thing
you described.
Thanks for your help, now off to find my soldering gun!
