Seattle is an awesome city to live in. Allthough the cost of living is the highest in the city of Seattle for all of King county. There are many great suburbs of Sea-Town; I live 15 freeway minutes away from Seattle and it's at least 20% cheaper than downtown. Some suburbs I could list in a quik scan are: Kenmore, Bothell, Bellevue, Newcastle and Renton. Kirkland aslo but that area is a bit more coslty for your daily dollar. Of course if you want to live downtown, you can't get this kind of bustling and happenings like in the heart of the city anywhere else. I find the suburbs to have less "intense" traffic and quieter.
Good luck w/ your decision. No matter where in WA you decide to move, you can count on a baddass SVX community to hand w/. Regards, Elliot

I would agree with SEA Sleeper. The greater Seattle area is great, but I would look outside of Seattle for a place to live. It would also depend on where and what kind of work is available.
