FYI...The SVX water pump runs off the Timing Belt, not the Accec. belt....

Laying down the gauntlet...
By the time I'm done with my '96 SVX L, she'll be in the 14's naturally aspirated before I do my 5spd swap. One big factor that solarsvx mentioned earlier in this thread is outside air temp - this can play a HUGE factor!
When I first raced my stock Lightning 2 years ago, my fastest time on a muggy 90* June day at MIR dragway was a 13.99 @ 100.5mph. This spring, on the first day that tracks opened up for the season, I ran my L again in 51* weather and got 2 13.6's and 2 13.7's with trap speeds of ~ 101.5mph. My awd L model weighs ~100lbs less than the Lsi models (3490lbs w/ 1/2 tank of gas + no driver), but still ~100lbs more than the FWD SVX's. Hopefully in the fall, when temps cool down again, I'll be able to snag that 14sec time slip and get my car on Myxalplyx's Scoobymile! The mods I plan should definitely get me the extra 20-30hp I'll need to dip under the 15sec barrier... -Chike Quote:
