o/t xt6 auto seatbelts
Just paid for my $400 XT6 and the driverside motorized seatbelt thingie doesn't work. Any ideas on fixing our how much it'll cost as it needs it for inspection. Never had a car with idiot belts before.

Remove the door jamb switch that activates them and clean it and check for rust around it, if it's rusty then it's not getting a good ground and keeping it from working.
This is a common problem, and the easiest to fix, you can run a ground wire to the switch. If that doesn't work, try cleaning out the track that it runs in and put some fresh white grease in. If none of this helps, it's probably the motor, which will require a replacment, but any XT motor will work, so it shold be easy to come by. Hope this helps you get it going. P.S. you need to update your sig to include your new XT6 !

New Forum??
Maybe we should ask for a new forum for us SVX'ers who also own XT6's
If only I had the time to get mine running again. That would be a start, but it needs a lot of work - front drive shafts, oil leaks, etc.
