Re: WTF is wrong now........
I am guessing that was a cold start-up after it had been sitting for a couple hours. Looks like you may have some bad valve stem seals and they are leaking oil into the cylinder when it sits. You can ID what cylinder it is by checking the plugs to see which one is oil soaked if it is a single cylinder... Unfortunately you cannot change the stem seals without removing the head, which means... Engine has to come out

Re: WTF is wrong now........
That was a cold start up after sitting all night. I just resealed the valve covers and changed the plugs what, last week? None of the old ones were soaked in oil.... Is this something that could happen just overnight? It didnt do it before I resealed... I dont know a thing about pulling an engine, nor can I afford to do so, and I cant afford to buy any more parts... So in othwrwords, Im just screwed out of the 5k that I just paid for the car. . . I give up on these. . . I cant afford to do anything to it, and I just cant seem to get one that wont have any problems... I guess Im just going to drive it until it hits the ground, theres nothing else I can do. There is no one that I can turn to to help fix it, and theres no way for me to get any money in order to do so... Im over the edge..........
And just to add to everything, the car is binding on corners, and its clunking into gears.... Why did it have to happen right after I bought it.... Im F*****

Re: WTF is wrong now........
If it means anything, the exhaust is loud because there is a seal thats bad on the passengers side between the header and the pre cat. I also had the resonator cut out. Thats why the car itself is loud. It idles at about 1500k for a couple minutes, then drops down to 1000. My 92 starts and idles the exact same way as this one does.

Re: WTF is wrong now........
I'm sure with the board there are plenty of people who could help you with it And burning oil isn't that bad, you just have to keep an eye on the oil level. Might try some snake oil like Rislone or something similar, see if that helps...

Rislone is for cylinder walls.
Is this your only car? I believe that if someone owns a SVX, they need to also own a backup car.

Re: WTF is wrong now........
Hmm, well its not doing it near as much today... It was the worst when I took the video. I started it today, and it smoked for a second, just enough to see some in the air. Revved it up and it didnt make any more come out. Then I let it sit for a few hours while I was doing stuff, started it again, and no smoke. Drove home, liet it sit for an hour, no smoke when I started it again. Could it be because of my reseal somehow? Could I have gotten oil somewhere that it wasnt supposed to be, and its just that burning off? Or am I doomed to have to pull my engine...
And yes the SVX is my only vehicle.... My backup vehicle... another SVX

Re: WTF is wrong now........
Tom, are the stem seals included in the full engine seal kit you're doing on mine? Hoping your visit will take of any engine pulling on my car for the next 100K at least.

Hmmmmmmmm! Why not go to your local carwash and wash the engine down. Works for me everytime on my legacy with leaky valve cover gaskets.
