Well, don't re-route on my account. I'm used to being the "late-comer." It comes with being such a darned fanatic and driving so darned far.

Um, if some of the puns from other threads are a foreshadowing of what I may expect when I reach my treehouse . . . I may have to reconsider attending this event.

I promise I will be on my best behavior...

....what Ron, Bill, and Larry do pun-wise is an entirely different matter.

Hey kids,

Let's be nice to Randy, or he'll take all his marbles and go home. Then we'll have no one to hang upsidedown by the big toes, from the treehouse.

Family band

No, not the Cowsills....family band radio!

(still trying to get blood to return to my hand...)

Anyone attending the cain/cane raising at Canaan, who happens to own one of those little Family Band walkie-talkies, might wish to consider bringing them. I plan on bringing 4 so that our little travel groups don't get lost in the wilds.

Just a thought.... Don

I can't take my marbles home. I lost them when I bought the SVX.

OOPS! I had forgotten that I was last signed on as "How-to" to post some stuff to the How-to locker. Not only have I lost my marbles, I had to "toss my cookies" before signing back on.

I'm sure this was posted back a hundred pages ago, but here it is again if anyone would like to click on and refresh your memory about the park. You might want to bring a swim suit if you want to take a dip in the pool...(indoor of course!)

Oh, very well, if you insist. But just remember, if we don't give him at least a little grief, he may think he's being slighted.

A snowball in a blast furnace...

<Oh, very well, if you insist. But just remember, if we don't give him at least a little grief, he may think he's being slighted>

I don't think we have to worry about THAT!

"Your mission, agent SVXphile, is to be a thorn in the side of agent Aredubjay....to dog his every move...to question his every decision....to zig his every zag....to boldly go where no cheap pun has gone before.....of course if any of your actions lead to your capture, the club will disavow any knowledge of your actions. This post will self-destruct in 10 seconds....."

Puffff!

They went that 'away...

The latest from the Davis (Canaan) weather center:

The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a High Wind Warning for the area south and east of Pittsburgh...from 10 am this morning...until 9 PM tonight. A strong cold front will bring gusty winds...especially late this afternoon and evening. Wind gusts on the ridge tops will be 50 to 60mph...then diminish after 9 PM. There may also be thunderstorms with these damaging winds.

What this mean is: all you folks east of us, expecting to see West Virginia leaves, need to look along the highways in Virginia and Maryland. Aredub will feel right at home, since all of our leaves will have been blown in from Kentucky and Ohio.....

....You have to hand it to the Kentucky Department of Tourism: They had "Visit the Bluegrass State" printed on the back of all their leaves this year... Don

Weather

Yeah Don, the weather in North Central WV has been really ****ty... All that you posted about has been happening... winds... storms... and the freaking rain...

Let's just hope this isn't a picture of things to come. Pretty much all of our roads here just got re-paved... that plus the rain and the fact that all the leaves are down, makes it for a crappy situation around here.

I'm sure Canaan got hit hard as well, but it looks to be a good week (weather-wise) coming up. At least for now.

Well, I just thought I'd make some noise...

Later all,

John
