If you don't care whether you win an auction, just enter the maximum you'd pay for the item any ol' time. If you really want the thing... * DON'T bid on it right away. You'll only jack the final price up if someone bids against you. * Snipe it! Wait until (literally!) the last minute to throw your bid in.
