We appreciate those going through hellish drives to get here.
Just added another new owner to the master list.

How can the drive be hellish if you're behind the wheel of an SVX?

Another great event!
Actually it's not over yet, we're going up to the Farmhouse for breakfast later this morning.
Yesterday was awesome though! We had 17 SVXes at the Banquet and twice that many people. We overflowed our area of the parking lot (hope someone has pictures) and maxed out the banquet room! Congratulations to everyone that was there, you were part of a new SVX record! We had the largest gathering of SVX owners west of the Mississippi... EVER! 17 is our new number to beat! Thank you to each and every one of you who attended, especially those that came from a long distance (although in the past we've had some REALLY long distance attendees drive in). I hope it was worth the trip. A HUGE thank you to Earl who hosted the all day event at his house and provided BBQ lunch. I'm sorry I missed it but from the pictures it looks like a great time. This extra event helped make this a special weekend, rather than just a dinner. Thanks as always Earl! Also wanted to thank Patrick for bringing up his projector. All of you who enjoyed the slide show, video, and Jeopardy game have Patrick to thank - otherwise we would have been watching that stuff on a 13" TV. Thanks Patrick! Thanks again to everyone for making this a great event. I spent a lot of work the last month on this but after last night it was all worth it. I know I didn't get to meet a lot of you personally, but I hope this was enough to get you interested in coming out with us again at future events. Looking forward to hanging out and talking SVX when I have less to do! OH and if you signed up for the event as a member here, but are not a member of Northwest SVX, please shoot me a PM or email with your info so I can get you on that list as well. Because the club is going to stick around a bit longer.

Awesome!!!!!
Hi guys,
We had a great time with everything and everyone. Too cool!! A perfect day spent with our wonderful friends. Oh yeah, I guess I should spend a bit more time on this site in hopes of one day obtaining a score of, at least, zero on SVX Jeopardy. Thank you to everyone, especially Earl and Troy. Joy was so bummed that she missed this meet that I had to give her a fix on the D.T.'s (Driving Time). So, it was back into the car for a pre-run on a possible route for the Vancouver/Portland drive in the fall. Much of the drive is still surrounded with thick snow banks, but that didn't stop us. We even had motorcyclists pulling over to let us by. With the possibility of black ice, their caution was warranted. We were able to slip right through; though, at times it seemed more like a bobsled run with only one lane clear for many miles of the drive. Our tentative title for this drive is the "Snakes and Lakes Tour" just to give you a slight hint at what we have planned. The actual route my vary, depending on working out the details with Erik, but we are so stoked about the basics on this one that we're sure you will drive back home from it saying, "Ohmygosh". O.K., over the top with hyperbole, let's just say, "It'll be too fun" We invite you to come and see for yourselves. So, keep your calenders open for the beginning of September, if you can. More info to follow in the next few months. Your Friends, Mark and Sher |

Had a most excellent time... Sidney and I just pulled in the driveway.
Thanks to everyone for everything, especially Troy, for the legwork, and Earl, for hosting us. I've got some cool images of the meet in processing right now, I'll post em up in the general babble section later.

Farewell Brunch.
It's too bad that no one showed up in Marysville, at our meeting place, this morning. Fuddman reminded everyone yesterday and last evening that we had reservations for 11 a.m. so had to leave Marysville at 10!! We waited a few extra minutes but still no one joined us. Did a caravan (of one SVX) up to the Farmhouse Restaurant and Earl and Emmett joined us. You all missed a delicious meal and great conversation. Tulips aren't quite in bloom but should be before long.

Also just wanted to chime in and say we had a great time! A bit exhausted getting home at 1am...but its always worth it. Actually the drive home seemed to go really fast...maybe it was starring at Mark's rear end the hole time
Troy, that was the best SVX video ever...any way you could upload that onto youtube? We need some sweet videos like that on the web! Thanks everyone again. Jill would also like to remind Mark that she had 299 points to his -3000 in SVX Jeopordy PS- hey Norm or Mark...did you guys see that Buick Grand National driving next to us on the way up yesterday

Emett and I went to Breakfast this morning. We arrived and saw only one SVX - 96 Brilliant Red besides ourselves (94 Laguna Blue). We had breakfast and when we were leaving, Emett pointed and said - there's one! It was Troy! His Claret was parked in front of the Farmhouse. I said he probably left late and could not find us inside. We went back in and looked everywhere for him and finally gave up. When we came back out, I went over to the SVX and realized that it was not his. It did not have the marks that his has and it didn't have a spoiler. So, we really had a 3 SVX breakfast meet this morning and the person who has the claret didn't even know it.

Oh sorry we missed the breakfast, we were all determined to come (even the in-laws), but getting everyone ready on a Sunday morning proved too difficult. I'm glad Earl and Emmett showed up.
I will post the video on YouTube to share with all the other SVX vids out there. I know the format won't do it justice but gotta share somehow. I can also burn some quick and dirty DVD's for anyone that wants one in the immediate future. I am, however, preceding with my original plan of producing a whole 5 year retrospective DVD of which what we saw Saturday night was only the opening intro. The "real" video is planned to have a "chapter" for each of our events (or all of the same event clumped together, ie chapter 2 would be Fall Colors Tour 1-6, etc). This may take a couple more months, but once that's done it will be sold as a more "professional" DVD with menus, packaging, etc.

I'm sorry I missed the Farm House event...
...but, after spending 5 of the last 7 weeks away from home I felt my current wife deserved to watch me crash out on the couch and miss the ending of the Masters on the tube...
Gas mileage for the two tanks of regular involved in this trip were 256 miles / 8.99 gal = 28.47mpg & 407 miles / 14.8 gal = 27.5mpg which is IMPRESSIVE (not "Impreza"), IIDSSM! As far as the event was concerned I was very impressed, as was Dave, the guy who sold his SVX in the parking lot: he told me he "had wanted to get together with (y)our group for years", was blown away at the turnout, the fact that it looked like everyone really wanted to be there and was having a great time, and wished he had gotten to a NWSVX meet long ago! I believe there is yet another true SVXaddict there in the making. Thanks to Troy & Co., Earl & Co., and to everyone for making this a very memorable meet. Cheers! p.s. Earl: I left my pillow, maybe the new puppy can find a use for it? p.p.s. Was I being unintentionally obtuse: were you interested in selling the ignition cylinder you said you had (in stock) ? If so, I'm interested.
