Thumbs up '05 SVX......the B11S concept

Sent an email to the Fuore Design Studio congratulating them on the B11S as debuted in Geneva.

Got a nice reply from the Managing Director, a Mr Dagmar Stein. Name does not sound too Spanish, but with an Italian gone to Tokyo to head Fuji design, the more international the mix, the better.

He suggests sending positive comments to FHI, they will have final decision on building the car or one like it. I am taking him up on that, I reckon this is the SVX we all wanted. An English article reckons they are planning a six-speed manual box as well, but encountered difficulties.

Text of reply FYI:
<<
Dear Joe,

we appreciate your comments about our brainchild, the Subaru B11 S and
we obviously are very happy that you like the car.

Hopefully FHI will take the idea further, which is their desion. It
would be helpfull to direct email as yours to FHI - maybe such `positive
messages will support their decision.

Best regards
Dagmar Klein
Managing Director
Fuore Design Intl.
>>

Anyone who really likes the general design could do worse than sending some praise to the Fuji home site.

Joe

Hey Alan

Hope you were not partaking of that temporary solution while viewing the pics

Note the guys who saw it in the flesh were impressed. Obviously the nose needs fixing. Everything else looks perfect to me.

If I remember right, the SVX concept car had a six-speed also. If you wish long enough, and hard enough, that one still won't come to pass.

I agree with Alan.

I wish the ugly thing does not come to life.

I hate the interior, I hate the doors and the nose. The tail looks like the new Nissan. Too many similear cars on the market. Do a little (a lot of) change(s).

nope - its butt ugly, inside and out. of course, a production version will never look like that. the front end, well, you can plainly see how grotesque the nose is. i could do without the ****e-eating grin, too. the baby-blue interior - blech. i can't stand multi-spoke wheels, either - how they look AND cleaning them! (i always thought 5-spoke wheels look the best). that's just my dumb opinion.

Flanks a lot....

My new Autoweek has a picture that shows a side view, which looks very nice.

Now if they would just do something to that nose....

Perhaps Michael Jackson's plastic surgeon could lend assistance.

I saw the B11S on TV last night, and I was very suprised how good it looked on the 'movies' compared with the stills. (Except for the nose, which is still awful.)

With the camera scanning around the car, the shape really seems to work. It also looks longer and lower than in the stills.
