Alternative transmission??

Read a lot about the transmission here. Is the auto the same as used in the Legacy twin turbo's, as I have seen one of these being broken in the UK? Or is it specific to the SVX only.

Thanks

Hi Tony

I think the Legacy also uses the 4EAT. That box would be handling similar HP, torque and weight in the twin turbo.

You would have to do research on the final drive via a Subie dealer. The tranny would come complete with front diff, which would be matched to the rear diff in the Legacy. Very strong chance this front and rear diff set is lower final drive than the SVX. In this case it would not be possible to bolt in the box to the SVX without changing the rear diff to suit.

Joe.
