ABS Computer control unit - anyone??

Does anyone have a spare ABS control unit that sits under the passenger seat???? I need one urgently as mine got fried when heater core burst and drowned it with coolant!!

Do you by chance have one???? So far I have had 2 incorrect units sent and one identical but unfortunately on test came up with the ABS warning light so not good.
I am getting a bit desperate!!!

I have one here from my JDM parts car.
Various stickers on it read :
48 RHD 4WD AT

Nippon ABS 26720pa010 (probably the Subaru part#)
170-0701 (probably the serial number)

Condition unknown, but I may be able to test it in my DD.

I've pulled the cover off and it looks clean & tidy inside.

Any idea of it's value ?

Thanks Shane - that is the part number of the unit I need. I am in the process of bidding for one from Japan which will cost me just over $100 landed but will probably take another 2 weeks. If you can plug it into your car just to see if no ABS warning light is triggered, we'll at least know whether the unit is OK. At least that way I know where there is one.

Probably not until this weekend. I assume I need to remove the passenger seat then follow my nose from there.

No error light on the dash or do I need to also check the light hidden under the passenger seat ?

The ABS warning light on the dash should be enough. Don't go to any trouble at this stage Shane - I'll let you know if we need to go to that stage. many thanks for your help.

All good and car back on the road! Many thanks to Shane Hobson for your help with the unit. Cleaning out the coolant from the carpet is a hell of a job and don't recommend it to anyone!

Hey everyone.

I am in the exact same predicament. Heater core blew and fried my ABS. Are there any more units available?

My yellow car got flooded inside (sunroof drain tubes) it filled the ABS unit with water, it put the warning light on the dash. I dried it out and sprayed the circuit board with WD40, worked perfectly and has done for the last 4 years, worth a try.
