E Brake change

I decided to change my e brake handle out and it became a bit of a project.....

Luckily my friend and his welder were up to the task.

Here's a few teaser shots. Have to put the final coat of paint on it.

The donor brake came from a 2002 WRX

Re: E Brake change

I'm wondering how this is going to fit properly in the area for the handle we have. Certainly should be interesting.

It looks pretty short, and depending on how he positions the shifter for the 6-speed, it may fit just fine.

Cool project, man.

me? or dragoon? its a simple manner of personal preference i dont like that style of ebrake handle and the reason why they used that one is cause a longer one will interfere with the auto shifter

a car is an extension of owner

Re: E Brake change

I think he was trying to be funny, because there's no way anyone's that much of a douche that he's serious. Sarcasm doesn't transfer well over the internet.

If mother Ducati wanted me to use Shell oil in my Hypermotard, then Shell oil should be more available. Everyone knows that AMSoil is far superior to Shell anyways. I'll bet with the grams of weight I shave off with this handle compared to the stock anchor, my SVX will be faster than yours anyways.

Re: E Brake change

Oil shenanigans aside, why does it look short, and in which way does it look short? And how would it possibly interfere with the shifter, either automatic or manual?

Irregardless, we all know that Mobil 1 is the King of Oils, Shamus

Re: E Brake change

I like it, looks like it could be stock, maybe just a tad darker grey. What did you wrap it with? Should match that 6spd shifter pretty well

Hey Mike, any willingness to trade seats?

Looks good and not any more in the way than the stocker.
