Tom's son is broken down in Bowling Green, KY, on his way back to his base in Texas. If there is ANYONE in the area who is mechanically inclined and can help, PLEASE call Tom at 301-707-3437.

Thanks in advance,

Re: Emergency!!! Anyone Near Bowling Green, Ky?

Tom has already left a message for Huck and he's trying to get Randy's number right now.

Looks like Nick lost a pulley!

UPDATE
Nick drove to the local Advance Auto Parts and bought a "dofer" four rib Dayco pulley, and a matching four rib belt.
He is as we speak, trying to remove the remains of the alternator/power steering pump idler pulley from the bolt.
Huck is in route to lend a hand, and Mark5 is also in route from Cincinnatti Ohio!
Thanks to everyone, Earl, Randy, John, Nate, Di, Huck, Mark,

Thats a big list!

Awww. Can I get on the list to? Aren't you closer than Cincinnatti though. Hope he gets it fixed before he's officially AWOL.

THIS is a serious concern!
They only allow him (as Air Force Property) to drive 500 miles a day!

About two or three days ago we changed his AC belt, and adjusted both belts.
I spun the pulleys and felt no notchieness, noise, or undue friction.

Its a car, and things just happen.

500 miles a day? I could see that for riding a bike but driving! I guess that's what you get when you get a bunch of fly boys together. I'm sure Huck will have him set up in no time at all. Did you overtighten that belt by chance?

What they don't know won't hurt them. They have no way of checking on this.

YES! Huck is The Man!

He drove about one hour and twenty minutes, EACH WAY just to help a fellow SVXer!
Thank you Huck!
A little hacksaw here, some filing there, a Big Fuji Hammer there...
Presto, Nick is back on the road.
Again, thank you everyone!

Ben, I don't think that there IS a too tight!
Belts are tough you know!
