My brother's 240



It's an SR20DET that has the individual throttle bodies and intake manifold from the Pulsar gti-r. The intake manifold had to be flipped around and welded back on, to face the right way, since in the gti-r it's transverse-mounted and will be longitudinal in the 240. It's the only one we know of with this configuration. I can't remember what turbo is on it, but it will be pushing ~15 psi. It should be going into the car in the next couple days.

Yea both of the cars in the background are. Apparently the guy imported them as they are right hand drive and the gti-r was never sold in the US (?). So he had a set of the ITB intake manifold stuff that they put on the sr20 my brother had found for the swap. It really makes for a pretty set-up.

We were working on trying to get the engine into the car tonight, but had to call it quits to sleep:

The engine leveler PearlM30 let me borrow was a big help

Man that is really cool. Excellent setup.

But frankly I would prefer driving the GTI-R instead of the 240. What is wrong with it? Isn't it road legal in the US?

A friend of mine used to own one, pampered, monster-ed , 4WD with +400bhp before a truck crashed into it

Well, we never got the gti-r over here, and it might be possible to import one, but 240s are much more common and cheap. Plus my brother just really likes it.
