15 minute rear suspension mod

I bought the "fix it" part number 31000 for my rear suspension today (2 actually, one for each side), but with the added thickness of the rubber insert, there is simply not enough of the bolt available to fit the nut onto it. I jacked up the car thinking might help, but no. Any thoughts on how to do this, or should I just leave well enough alone?

Sure, now that your car is safely jacked up, jack up slightly the crossmember so that you have the threads exposed.
