On any other svx, i'd say those wheels would be ugly as hell, but for some reason, they look nice on that car.

Hmmm

I don't know how to take that remark Jay.

Paulo preferred the stock rims and I bought those from him as complete wheels, tyres included.

If you click on Betty in my sig you will see them where they are now, on my ebony.

Joe

They are OEM German issue from the Subaru options list, BTW.

I just noticed that Euro yellow didn't come with black roof/trunk.

Did they offer yellow body color up to '97?

I like that lower pic..kinda looks like that red VW Polo(?) smashed into SVX.

They do all right Danny. You could be right about the Germans liking them. They were not an option in England so far as I know.

At least I have never seen an England model SVX wearing a set up to now.

USA was the first market to get all-one-colour with the '93 Anniversary model reds.

After this it was maybe 94 when the all-teal green came out, not sure when these launched in USA.

All OEM yellow Subaru SVXs have one colour all over, no black roof.

It would have been about 96 in the UK when the phase two models arrived with the all-silver and all-polo and all-burgundy body styles. The vast majority of original SVXs in the UK are black roof cars.

Cool Re: The Official Yellow Thread

Notice Paulo's has on the front bumper - some raised pieces, must be the headlight washers - I wonder if it also has headlight tilt mechanism?

Well spotted Steve.

Yes, the black units on the bumper are the nozzles for the headlight power wash.

You are also correct about the headlight tilting mechanism. German cars also have the same glass lamps the UK cars got, which include the motorised tilt mechanism.

It is probable that all cars sold in Europe got that type of headlamps. Sonny's car in Sweden has the headlight washers and tilt motors. We have a couple of Norway members too, I think, theirs were the same.
