I am still looking for that....and I wish!
Hello
A few years back (when I did not have spare cash ) I came across an ad in Montreal for a 1980 Triumph TR7 convertible up for sale. The oddity was that the car was brand new never having been sold or registered and in perfect 100% mint condition. The story was that when new in 1980 it was packed up into a container and shipped to montreal to be sold to its intended owner. Long story short the container was lost never to be seen again till a few years back when it was stumbled upon. I saw details pics and it was like I went back in time. The car was up for sale for $14000.00 firm, if I recall correctly. Apparently this sort of thing happens a lot and especially before the age of computer inventory tracking (and even today with it) that there are containers shipped and lost. Think of all the stuff from way back sitting in yards. All those classic cars that must still be out there just waiting to be discovered. Kind of like a lost and found for shipping yards but no one to claim them since they are never opened. So you ask what this has to do with the SVX world? I am still looking for that 97 SVX that was bought and put away in a box or something by an owner or transport, forgotten about and never having been used with only +-100 test/transport miles. Wouldn't that be nice! My other wish, that Subaru decides it will resell some remanufactured SVX's like Nissan did with the 240Z about 6 or 7 years back. They bought back some 100 240 Z's and factory rebuilt them to new and resold them for some 50K as a tribute the the model. Ah, wishful thinking... Max |

Over the years, there have been a couple that have showed up, but not with that few miles. It is a matter of being in the right place at the right time and have the money to do it.
