Good for you. It's always nice to see a project come to fruition. I await the audio, and some pics too.

No offense, but unequal length headers on an eg33 wil NOT give you the same sound as a turbocharged EZ30. N/A vs. FI = totally different exhaust notes...

I'm calling BS. This thread is dead to me without pics and video, and the whole idea that you can significantly change the sound of the exhaust with the length of the primaries is STUPID!!! Equal length or unequal won't sound different. They are still going to merge together in the end. Sound is determined by overall exhaust system length, muffler layout, resonators, firing order, cams, bore and stroke... Maybe you should build some zoomies and stick them out on either side of the fender behind the front tires

Also, you can't build a true equal length header system without taking into consideration exhaust port length in the heads. The EG33 isn't like a Porsche engine with equal length exhaust ports. As long as the primaries are relatively close in length, you should be fine. Just keep everything within a few inches. What will really make a difference is primary size (different sizes do different things depending on engine mods) and a high quality merge collector.

just realized he's not even talking about headers. He's talking about "down pipes" (or atleast that's what they would be called on a non-horizontal engine). This makes the whole thing even more pointless.
