Lightbulb Shop search - lets use it!

I decided to check out the "shop search" feature here on the network, & noticed that the same two facilities are listed in my zip code that were there over a year ago with nothing added. There are only a grand total of 41 shops listed nationally. Now I know we all like to beef about getting ripped off, & vent all over each other, but when we have a decent experience we seldom mention it. I think it was Uncamitzi that just got a good shake on a radiator & A/C problem. I would hope he'd now list this facility in the shop search section.
I noticed that most of the listings are for dealers, but there are many "mom & pop" shops that may shy away from SVXes, & certain levels of sophistication, but can do brakes, alignments & basic services for any car. If you get a good deal with these folks, let us know. Price is only one object. I'm pleased when I don't have to keep going back to fix stuff that wasn't broke when I first brought the car in.
Face it, about 150 of us will be driving vast distances to Lafayette in the good ole summertime. It would be nice to know who's trustworthy to pop an SVX hood along the way. Actually, I'm not too clear as to how new information is added, so someone please clarify the procedure to list a new shop, or add comments to an existing one.

Ron.

To add a shop, just search for the zipcode it's in, then when it says "If you would like to add a shop that isn't listed below, click here." click on the link. You should then be able to fill in the info and hit submit. To add a comment to a shop, just find it (search for the zipcode it's in or a zipcode near it) and fill in the "add a comment" box. Hit submit and you're done.

If anyone has any questions, feel free to drop me an email (mcfa0086@tc.umn.edu) or a pm (or post here). It'd be slick if more people used it...

Another for TN

Apparently Tennessee is the place to break down, I just added another one to the one that I had already added a couple months ago! Both are great choices! Hope every town has as much luck with repairs in your towns...

Hey Sith....

..as long as you're programming away..

How about a way to list a dealer/place that does work nationally? I was wanting to add Level 10 to the list, but I'm not sure whose zip to put it under, as they will do any work that is sent to them.

Just something to do when you get bored...

Thanks
