Motor City Online

I'm just curious if anyone else here plays Motor City Online. I could have sworn Adam did. For those you who haven't heard of this game, you get to build, buy, trade, sell, and race Vintage, Classic, and Muscle cars from 32 through 73 on different tracks, gaining points and cash along the way. There are 4 servers in the game in which you may have a "Persona" or screen name for that server. If you play, post it up here so we can see each other on the track!

I used to play, but the $10 a month for a game that wore off pretty quickly killed my interest pretty fast.. It's a neat game (even better with steering wheel), but with my crappy computer, I couldn't get the gameplay I wanted.. I can't stand lagging on computer games without losing my patience.. Who woulda figured that?

Oh, and if anybody wants to buy a sweet force feedback steering wheel, lemme know! I paid $100 for it, and I'd sell it for $75 including shipping..

Which FFB wheel do you have?

I recently tried a wheel for the PS2 - the Logitech GT3 wheel. I had been eying one of these since I bought GT3 last summer.

After trying the wheel, I don't think I'll buy one. I use the two analog sticks to drive in GT3 - the left for steering and the right for gas/brake. I can react so much faster with my thumbs than my legs and arms that playing with a wheel just makes me feel slow.

I'm not exactly sure what the model # is, but it's made by Thrustmaster.. It's advertised as a "Nascar wheel".. It has a hand shifter, and paddles for shifting on the wheel too.. Lotsa buttons to program stuff (views, horn, nos, etc.)

I bought it from Electronics boutique a few monts ago, and used it only a handful of times.. Here's a pic of it

You don't have other games you can use the wheel for?

My favorites are Colin McRae Rally 1 and 2.

Midtown Madness 1 and 2 cannot even be played properly without a wheel.

I bought an MS FFB wheel for $100 ($62USD) recently so I'm not actually in the market for another one...I was just curious.

Actually now I have a regular MS Wheel (no FFB) to practically give away.

If you mean me, I can't imagine why.. Although I've been a fan of games like that since Street Rod came out for the 386 (fyi, motor city online is literally a technological update of Street Rod and SR2), my computer can't handle 3D and my bandwidth is severely limited by the poor quality of the telephone lines out here in the sticks of New Hampshire.

If you didn't mean me... oh well..
