OT: web based e-mail...

I have been using uswestmail.net for my e-mailservice for the past 4 years....today they send an e-mail telling me they are shutting it down in June.

I liked it, had no hassles with it, and liked being able to access it from any computer... was easy to use for a computer challenged guy like me....

My question is; What is a good web based e-mail service (Free, of course) that I can go to?? I know some of you computer guys will have an answer for me! Help kids!

I'd say yahoo! mail is a pretty good bet.. just head to mail.yahoo.com and sign up. Although advertising has recently increased on the site, it's not horrible and it's usually pretty reliable.

If you want fairly reliable POP3 and Webbased e-Mail from a company that won't spread your information around, go to www.gmx.net This is a German company I have been using for e-Mail for a year now and it's really the best free one that I found. When I joined they had English content available but they have since discontinued that; go thru babelfish.altavista.com to sign up. They add a little advertisement at the end of your webbased messages but they have about the best free POP3 mail with no ads of course.

Soon we will as well

Once we get our new server and things settle down, we will have web and pop3 based email as well.

Now if we could only get a shorter doamin name.... svx.org or svx.net it would make email much easier.

We could register svxwn.com .net or .org

I have a nameplanet address for my church's prayer chain email. It works very well and can be personalized to suit you. There's also Netscape. Most ISP's (like Earthlink, etc.) will let you access your personal email through their Home Page.
