I thought your plea was well written. It is all your fault I gave at the office. If it's too much send some back.

Yeah. As if. No, John, it was "generous" but never "too much." We'll be sure to put it to the best possible use. Again, thank you.

I dont remember if they are still doing it or not, but a little while ago they were actually giving you $5 to set up an account with them. Not a bad deal

I hope that helps... I feel better about that than sending the money I sent to NPR!....

Mitch, every little bit helps. Thanks a bunch, but, don't stop supporting NPR, that is, with all things considered.

The two priority items at this point are to resolve the server/bandwidth issue, and to cover the costs of the incorporation and associated fees. Once this organization is really up and running, there will be a budget committee to allocate funds among the various activities (server, newsletter, etc.), as well as an annual Treasurer's report as to how funds were spent. That's a ways down the pike though. Right now, it's just the server and legal fees that are the hottest items, and that's where the greatest part of the money would be used.

Thanks Bill. I know the cost of the incorporation is pretty huge. Keep up the good work!

(SVXlover86 here)

May I make a suggestion?

I know it will be a bit out there, but I was hoping you can charge people only if they are over 18. See, I don't have a credit card, or chex, so it would be real hard for me to make payments until i'm 18. In fact, how would I?

First of all, payment, at this juncture, is on a volunteer basis. No age limits or restrictions. Once memberships are being solicited, we will accept money orders.

This thread appears to have gone rather dead which is a pity.

However it will be interesting to see the thank you list when it is again posted. By now it should run to three figures on the basis of number of users of the free service which has been so reliably provided to date.
