Jamsvx does NY and DC!

Hi

Just throwing it up in the air but we are going to be in New York on the from 1 Feb to 4 Feb and in Washington DC on 5 and 6 Feb so if there is anyone who would like to meet up, I'd be keen - would be great to say hi to our Stateside SVX'ers.

Any thoughts? Odds are that people are working during the day and we will be running around trying to see all the sights so perhaps evening would be better?

Best wishes

James

Thumbs up

Howdy, James. A couple of hours south of New York on I-95, & 30 minutes north of DC, lies the little town of Baltimore. As we get closer to your actual travel itinerary, I'm sure a few of the locals will be glad to assemble our SVXen in front of a mutually agreed upon watering hole for few rounds of cheer.

I'm PMing you with my phone number.
Happy trails, Ron

Yeah... there are a handful of us between the two cities you have listed.

How are you getting from NY to DC??? Post some more details as the time approaches.

We'd also be interested in meeting. About an hour north of Baltimore, MD. is the little town of Wilmington, DE.

Ron, can you set something up?

Hi guys

Thanks for the responses.

We are getting the AMTRAK to and from DC out of NY so unfortunately, don't have the freedom of a car (we had thought about it but was advised that not that cost effective and as we were on a tight schedule, the train was the best way to get between the two places).

Just on the trains, are we better booking the tickets now from the UK or could I just buy them when we get to NY (I am not sure whether the trains fill up etc) - it won't be the ACELA train but the other one - about 2 hrs 40 mins travel time.

Cheers

James
