Anyone want Koni/GC coilovers built??

have just began finishing up my suspension setup and I have come up with a pretty good idea. I can build people their coilovers much like porter was doing for a while. I do not need to go to my job to do it, so I can have much more time to get them done for ya. Prices will prob be around $1500 for a full set. I just need a set of stock strut housings for a first core and then Core returns can come afterwards. With LAN building SC systems people to send me their cores first will be discounted much like he is doing. If anyone is interested, please contact me VIA PM or just post here

I can beat that price and you won't need to clean Tom's blood off them either

Mychailo is offer a different type of coilover kit from what I understand. I do not believe he will be using the GC setup. This is for people who want the Koni/GC but don't have the time or experience to put it all together. This would be a bolt in kit where u simply remove the old struts, and put in the new coilovers. Then send me the old struts as cores

I'm pretty much considering the same thing you are but with some slightly different parts. I'll be using better rear top mounts (ones that are designed to support the car at the point where the shaft bolts to the top mount), a slightly softer spring rate (300 front, 275 rear), and a full paint job. I may also include some helper springs so that the main springs don't flop around at full droop. Otherwise, it should be a similar setup.

Like I said, I am not trying to steal any thunder or business, just people who want GC coilovers and Konis who can't/don't want to build them

well think of it this way...

$660 -konis shipped to me
$420- GC coiover shipped to me
$350- Mounts shipped to me
$70- Labor and tools
$200 core charge for the strut housings
$1700 Minus the cores comes to a grand total of

$1500 is a pretty good deal for this, but if Mychailo is offering a better coilover kit for the same price, I would go with him, he knows the suspension on the SVX very well and knows what he is doing

I don't want to steal anyone's business either. I would just like to see a top quality product for the SVX.

I was merely joking around with Tom but appraently it didn't come out that way. I'm not really interested in building them for a price, though have built two sets thus far (one set with inserts in the standard housing and one set with GC coilover package) and have pics of the finished products in my locker FWIW.

I'm also not interested in getting in to a price war with people I consider personal friends to help you, someone I've never met or spoken with, to save a buck. Not trying to be a weenie, but I'm in sales and everyday I hear that statement. I'm sure Tom and Mychailo would both do great work for you. Pay the price they are asking and be happy knowing you got a good product and helped a fellow SVX owner.

Todd
