Non-functional cruise control... What can cause it?

I know, I know.. That's like asking, "My monitor won't display anything, why is that?"

There's hundreds of thousands of reasons.. I'm just wondering if there's a few common ones I can narrow it down to.. If it's a common issue, etc.

As always.. All comments/suggestions/help/smartass remarks welcome and appreciated...

Check the tubing going to the canister on the firewall - if it comes off you won't have any cruise control.
