who has a broken speedo gear?
Mine is broken and I'd like to know if it causes your radiator fans to stay on high when you turn your ignition on.

wow, no responses. I know a failed engine temp sensor will cause the radiator fans to stay on all the time.
If the speedo gear is broken then it will read 0 all the time. If your engine is not running then despite the fact that it's broken it's still correct so that wouldn't cause the problem with the fans. Another test is to clear any codes and just run the car for a couple minutes. If the fans are on all the time still then there's probably another sensor causing this issue (like the engine temp sensor).
