Ac

Had Subaru recharge my AC and they found a bad hose and replaced it. Now my AC works intermittently; blows cold when working. But, if I shut the engine off for a 10-15 minutes (shopping stop), then the AC may or may not work again! Anyone have any ideas about what's wrong? Subaru had the car for 3 days with the AC constantly working for them and they can't find the problem. Let me know of a problem/solution.

Thanks

I do not know for sure but I have read here that if the engine gets to hot the ac will shut off. Watch the temperature gauge and see if there is a correlation.

So when the engine gets too hot the a/c shuts off? I'm going to assume that it means it blows warmer air and not cold air. I have been wondering why sometimes my a/c will blow very cold air sometimes and then warmer air sometimes. I always thought the a/c was bad but maybe this is the answer i was looking for.

Also check your expension valve. If it does not work then you will have that issue you mentioned too.
