Opinion on brakes

I am looking into a set of cross drilled and slotted rotors and pads from STS. The guy at Schucks/Checker/Kragen said that they can order them in and my wait to get them will be two days. His quoted price was close to $300. Anyone ever heard of this company(division of Raybestos). If so, are there products worth the money?

Also, if anyone knows who to go through or what company offers rotors and pads for a better price, let me know. I don't really need them at the moment, but am looking to upgrade in the months to come.

Thanks

Keith

Keith,
Interestingly, I did some pricing for rotors and pads today. I am looking to upgrade to the EBC Greenstuff ceramic pads and thought I would change out the rotors at the same time since I will be going to Summit Point in August. Here's what I found today:
* EBC Greenstuff ceramic pads - $59 front, $49 rear from Tirerack

* Friction Master ceramic pads from Advance Auto - $40 front, $52 rear

* Bendix rotors from Advance Auto - $100 front, $94 rear

* Raybestos ceramic pads from CarQuest - $80 front, $85 rear
NOTE: these have a LIFETIME WARRANTY)

* Raybestos rotors from CarQuest - $70 front, $82 rear

So what do I plan to buy at this point in time (I'll do some more checking tomorrow)? I think the Raybestos rotors with the EBC Greenstuff ceramic pads. I don't want to go with cross-drilled or slotted rotors in order to stay within SCCA G-Stock class.

BTW, I am currently running stock rotors with AXXIS Metal Masters pads.

For what it is worth,
Harry
