First thing I would do is talk to the officer who took your report and ask why they have not filed criminal charges. Minor hit and runs are very low priority and it just sounds like you're being blown off. As busy as your p.d. may be, you're a tax payer and have every right to have this crime investigated. But maybe you'd have to go about things differently than normal because the driver is from out of state? Maybe contact your state police and see what they advice? Next thing to do would be to contact your local district attorney and see about pressing charges that way.
I'm sure your insurance agent has dealt with something like this before and will probably have better advice. Give her/him a call and see what he/she advises. Last edited by TCamusJr; 02-28-2004 at 11:51 PM.

Yeah, why would cops actually want to persue a real crime, when they can just sit on there ass on the side of the road and wait for someone who can drive without hitting stuff to drive by, above the revinue generating speed limit. ****ers
