looking Car Battery buying advice

Well my car battery finally died altogether the other day. I 've been planning to replace the thing since I bout the SVX four years ago but never got around to it. Why replace something that worked?

It doesn't seem to keep a charge, (im hoping it snot the alternator too) so im ion the look out for a new battery.

Are there any suggestions or tips on a battery for the SVX? I've read about the optima red and yellow tops, are there other high performing batteries out there/ or alternatives to Exide batteries? All the local shops around me( napa, kragen) all seem to carry Exide batteries.

Any thoughts on how much Cranking amps and cold cranking amps are good for the SVX?

835CA seems to be the norm?

I'm prone to leaving my car door opening and taking a nap during lunch hour in the car, so thats probably what killed it. Working (12+ hour shifts a day/7 days a week!)

My current work hours give me little time to do much research!

It appears that you have the answer and should purchase the same brand as the original which would appear to have given very good service. Why take risks ?

Well it been slightly leaking for the past four years as well and I can't actually find Die Hard batteries around my area anymore.

I also cant find the amperage on the battery nor any specs. IT may have been on the label the acid ate through.

Do you have a Sears near you? They have them. They should be able to look up the battery that came in the car.

I am a pessimistic optimistic. I think the worst is going to happen, that way when it does, i don't feel as bad, but if the best happens, i am twice as happy.
