well my TCU ajustment did not fix the flare. My trany still flares. I'm going to replace the screen and 7 Qts ATF and then see what hapends.

TCU or TPS Adjustment?
Did you try loosening the band adjuster1/4 turn? There is a point where the clutches and bands fry and there's no adjustment that will fix things altho' someone mentioned that they had the flare for the last couple of years. If you need any info from the manual give a shout and I'll get it to you. Collins |

ok this mite be the right place to ask question
hi, maybe my question is out of topic , but u talk about trannys.

if you rear the tech bullitens on band adjustment, Subaru recommends removing thye exhuast and the rear transmission mounts and dropping the transmission onto fabrcated wooden supports, then lower the car on the lift to get at the top of the tranny.
YIKES!!! I preffer skinned knuckles and saftey wire. |
