I would suggest that you drink the Scotch in order to deal with the mold and coffee smell. It won't do much for the smell, but you won't care!

My wife went looking for stuff to get stains out of our carpet. She was standing in the aisle at Wal-Hell and one of the "associates" stopped and asked her if she could help. My wife explained that she had some cola and coffee stains in our beige carpet and she was looking for something effective to take out the stains. As luck would have it, before the lady was a Wal-Mart associate, she worked for a professional cleaning service. She said, "You're not going to believe this, but when I managed a cleaning service, we used Windex. Spray it on, and blot it up." Shari tried it, and it worked. I've since used it on my OLD floor mats on a couple of coffee and oil spots. Worked like a charm.

I'll drink mine thank you. After I drink it, I won't care what Mikes carpet looks like or smells like for that matter.

Red face Alcoflops

Either Jim Beam or straight scotch. I can only recommend that you do not drink either of these before you put them on the carpet.

IMHO it can only make the smell much worse.

I'll tell you what Mike, we can trade cars, my car is 100% coffee smell free.

Seriously though, I'd try steam cleaning with Oxi-Clean, and then use that Ozium stuff someone else recommended for the smell. I used that stuff to get rid of the moldy smell in my A/C, now it smells fresh as can be

I spilled a huge coffee on the passenger side floor not that long ago. But I was lucky in two ways

1) the floor mat soaked up most of the coffee

2) I was driving my girlfriends SVX!!

She still complains about coffee smells!

What doug said earlier....

Also, if you work for the dealer, they should have ways to get rid of the smell and recondition the car for sale again. Tell the dealership to do that for you. They have to take the seat out and do what Doug said but, you wouldn't have to do it yourself.

Lwin-

This thread is like 6 months old. I havent worked at the dealer in a long time, and I took care of the smell a long time ago.
