That photo also seemes to show a one-piece grille/headlight strip, instead of the three-piece we got (which is much more production- and repair-friendly). In my opinion, it's far more coherent a design this way. The original 'waterfall' grille is nice because it dips down without disrupting things too much - I don't like the way the '97 grille breaks up the lines.

This prototype (and others like it) also has a big wide strip of a hole in the leading face of the bumper.

interior is black and white combo (the look i want on my SVX). Black trim with white fake seude/leather all around. It also had the touch screen LCD with voice command for navigation, audio and climate control

Center air vent and area beneath E-Brake are different. Marker or fog lights in the front grille.

If anyone wants a high-res copy of the picture, I'll be glad to scan it for them!

Hummm, wonder if they lost airflow when they went from prototype to production (front bumper) and didn't consider the impact on the trans?

also - are those driving lights in the lower corners of the front bumper?

They switched to the waterfall grill for a reason. So that more air can ram into the engine bay. That's the reason why the nose is different.

Oh and those are lights for turning/and driving

The prototype (or at least one of them) also has a really cool exhaust/rear end. You can't see it in this picture or any of the ones in John's locker, but I know they are around here somewhere. From a direct side profile angle you can see the rear bumper rounds up smooth, and then the shot from the back you can see the twin exhaust tips coming out of one wide opening a little closer to center than production. This is the bumper (and accompanying plans for an effective exhaust system to match) I want someone to produce for us.

the grille that was on the prototype was the standard subie grill of the time

it's the same that was on the same era legacy
it also has the connected pleades badge not the modern one that debuted on the svx

I like the interior. I couldn't tell how different it was in the b&w, but the pale look is really nice.
