Cruise Control

Sorry about all the questions I've been asking over the past 10 days (since I bought my first SVX). I love the car and, although it's in really good condition, I just want to rectify a few things which aren't working properly.

I noticed my Cruise Control is not working. The dash switch and light both come on as they should, the Cruise fuse is good, but nothing on the steering wheel control works (ie I can't set a speed). Is there a common fault with these? I noticed quite a few Cruise spares on ebay, but not being overly mechanically minded, don't know where to start.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Cruise Control

First off, check that the vacuum hose to the Cruise Diaphragm is still connected, gets pulled off checking the ATF.
Does the horn button work?

Harvey.

Re: Cruise Control

Ok, horn works.

Not sure what the cruise diaphram is, however there was a hose disconnected above the ATF dipstick. It's about 1cm wide and goes through a squarish hole below the engine fuse box. The diconnected end looks like it goes into a black cylindrical thing at the top of the firewall in front of passenger wiper area (sorry about the technical speak ). Does that sound like it?
