I drove a 2012 Impreza last week. Thought about buying one of those XVs when they come out. You know the jacked up Impreza. Well I want to get an automatic so I test drove the CVT Impreza. Hated it. It jerked like it had gears (while in automatic mode) and it downshifted (or maybe I should call it up-reved) when I would attempt to coast down a small grade (not on the brakes mind you). For some reason an OB doesn't drive this terrible. Not sure why the Impreza sucked. I had a 2011 OB as a rental out in Oregon for 250 miles and loved the car. The sales man (after I told him I wanted to buy an automatic) told me maybe I should stick with manual transmissions.
