Jay Leno has restored a 1966 Oldsmobile Toronado, but updating it with new technology (425 cu,in with twin turbos = 1000hp)

The original wheels were only 15"

He had a company replicate the original wheels as 17" so that the original look wasn't altered. Each wheel was carved out of a 400 lb. block of solid billet aluminum.

I guess in California, anything is possible for the right price.

I love the look of our wheels and with unlimited funds thought of having the wheels replicated in 17" or 18" as well.

You may be right.. but questions are free.

That's the idea I had.. to keep the look of the OEM wheels but "up-spec" them somewhat. I don't have an endless budget that's for sure but it doesn't cost anything to ask. You never know....

This is the closest thing we can probably really get. Not sure if the offset would work though:

They made a few variations of the wheel. I'm not sure if the old 944s came with them stock or if they were retrofitted, but some dude was rocking them on a 944 when I had my 240sx and they looked great.

Porsche Twist wheels.

edit: What a wasted post. 5x130. What a stupid bolt patten.

Re: Will 235/45/17 rub on the SVX?

Aren't there companies who already have wheel blanks that can be cut/drilled to order?? I mean we see it all the time on shows like "American Hot Rod" etc...

Anybody know who these companies are?
