Exclamation 9th Annual 48hrs of Tristate, Jan 14-17, 2010

9th Annual 48hrs of Tristate, Jan 14-17, 2010

We finally re-did the website, so it should be a lot better to navigate now. . If you don't know about the 48hrs of Tristate, it is a roughly 1,000 mile group road trip that traverses the NY/NJ/PA/CT area each January comprised of Subaru Owners and Subaru Fans! Each year we do this drive we raise money for various charities so it's not only a fun trip, it's also for a good cause. Last year we had 50 cars registered and raised over $25,000 for The American Cancer Society.

A Rough Estimate of the Schedule of Events:
Jan 14th Kickoff Dinner in Cherry Hill
Jan 15th SOA Breakfast Visit w/Museum Cars on Display
Jan 15th Staying in Burlington, VT @ The Hilton Hotel
Jan 16th Tour of VT Sports Car (Where they build the Subaru Rally Cars)
Jan 16th Dinner Banquet/Awards Dinner at Dunham's Bay Resort in Lake George
Jan 17th Final Dinner and Meet @ EFI Logics in Bethel, CT

Website is still http://48hrs.info

Exclamation Re: 9th Annual 48hrs of Tristate, Jan 14-17, 2010

The 9th Annual 48hrs of Tristate will be Jan 14-17, 2010!

Thanks to all the participants and the folks who helped raise over $25,500 for The American Cancer Society last year.

This year we are raising money in honor of John William Shorter, Jr. older brother of Ryan Stone aka Growling Boxer one of the long time participants in the 48hrs Drive who lost his battle with Cancer earlier this year.

Subaru of America will be Matching $ for $ our donations up to $7,000!
Subaru Distributors Corp will be helping offset the cost of the Raffle Dinner. Details to Follow.
Turnin Concepts has announced that EVERY CAR Officially Registered will receive a $20 Gift Card!

History of the 48hrs of Tristate…

Each Winter, a group of Subaru Enthusiasts from the Tristate Area gather to do a winter drive to raise money for charity. Lifelong friendships are built and Subaru Camaraderie is strengthened. So get your Subaru Gassed Up, and get ready to put some miles on it through backroads, small towns, highways and byways with us. In addition to the fun aspect of the trip, each year we strive to raise $1,000 for each year we’ve run the trip. This year’s goal is $9,000 for The American Cancer Society since it is the 9th year we are running the trip. Anyone who donates to The American Cancer Society for the 48hrs will get complimentry tickets for the door prizes that our Vendor Sponsors have offered up as well.

This trip has evolved from the first few years where we did it in 48hrs from Friday Night to Sunday Night and covered over 1500 miles to a more tame 1,000 miles over the course of 3 days. The name 48hrs stuck and we do about 48hrs worth of driving so hence the name stayed!

Without the help of all the volunteers the trip would not be what it is today. Special thanks to, but not limited to Ted, Ian, Rob, Alex, Patti, Tom, and Subaru of America for their hospitality.

Raffle Tickets
How can you help out if you can't make the trip or simply live too far away to make it for the trek? You can Participate in Spirit Only.
