MY windows quit working, and I checked all the fuses, but I couldn't find one for the power windows. Has anyone had experience with this, could it be the wiring?

Even dumber question

I beleive it is a self resetting circut breaker located in the main fuse box in the engine compartment right behind the battery.

You don't have your lockout button (above the driver's window side switch panel) engaged, do you? That disconnects all window switches, even the drivers.

If this is the case, don't be embarrassed. I have a "friend" who, a week after installing new switches, had them "fail." My "friend" went into a cussing fit you wouldn't believe (much to the delight and amazement of the folks in the car sitting to my left). This "friend" in mid-rant noticed the lock switch was engaged. Boy, did I . . . I mean, my "friend" feel stupid.

Unhappy

It isn't the lockout button. I checked out the fuse box behind the battery, and I couldn't find anything wrong. Maybe i should just take it to a subaru mechanic. BYE $

Sorry we couldn't help, John. I hope it's something simple.

Lightbulb window problem

John: Fuse for windows is in the secondary fuse box under the drivers side dash, on the left side above your left foot rest. Its a blue 15 fuse.
Is you sunroof and or power seat still working? They are on the same circuit. I have the same problem right now but my fuse is not burnt. Service guy at local Subaru dealer said to check for corroded wiring under drivers side seat or carpet. This might be causing the overload circuit breaker in engine compartment fuse box to stay open. I'm in the process of try to remove seat right know which is a little difficult since I can't slide it forward to get to rear bolts. Anybody have any suggestions?

Talking Thanks for the help

The problem was with the grounding circuts. It was easily fixed. I checked out the WRX while I was waiting. That is a fun car. That micht be my next vehicle, but I have heard rumors of a new SVX. Thanks for your input.

Rumors is all we are going to get. A joint Toyota venture is going to provide a sort of sport contraption, but with the whole world catching up , finally, to all wheel drive, this disaster is going to be front wheel drive. Toyota is able to convince Subaru to join them in this with only a 20% ownership in Subaru??

Someone please "tell me it isn't so"

Keith
