im sure you folks probably heard about this, but i found a photo that looks interesting....

looooks fun
it is supposed to be using the 2.0 WRX motor with a special RWD setup...
that means we might be having a RWD option soon....

i am personally excited. this is a step in the right direction for subaru imo

Re: new subaru/toyota RWD coupe

In a few years all of these cars with elaborately-sculpted headlight lenses are going to look as goofy and dated as a square-headlight Jeep.

That picture and rumour has been flying around the internet for a good year or more now.

Yep, this is old news. And unfortunately it's been put on hold by Toyota. 'Yota was going to do 2 versions. the other being a new Celica. With the "economic downturn" (depression) and 'yota losing money for the first time in it's history, all new car programs have been put on hold.

Re: new subaru/toyota RWD coupe

this is supposed to be like the ae86 "reincarnation" (so to speak) the idea of this is pretty entertaining.... but ill take an awd subaru over a rwd subaru any day of the week... our flat motors are soo torquey that u'd be constantly breakin the tires loose... thats the whole reason why i went to awd because ive had a mustang ive had a ram 1500 and i currently have a dakota and spinnin the tires when u need the traction the most is not my cup of tea
