Hydraulic Lash Adjusters...

Well, I made a boo-boo the other day and flipped one of the heads over and the buckets all fell out

On my local scooby forum people are talking about shimmed buckets and having to make sure they get back into the exact same spot they came from, and checking clearances.

I was looking and I couldn't find any clearance specs, it just says "Note: Equipped with hydraulic valve lash adjusters"

So does this mean that I am out of the woods on my mistake? Can they just go back in anywhere?

Re: Hydraulic Lash Adjusters...

yes they can go back on any valve.
as hydraulic adj. make up the clearance diff. vs. shimmed for clearance.
