Giugiaro Designed Tires
For the purists out there ,how about Giugiaro tires to go with that Giugiaro designed automobile ? Check out vredestein.com for their Sportrac series tires . Vredestein is based in Holland and has an excellent reputation for quality .They do have dealers in the US . I have seen the tires and they look really nice , more importantly they handle well too .
Alan . PS : Randy ,sorry I haven't posted much lately .Too much work interfering with pleasures I'm afraid . Just caught sight of the proposed Midwest meet , but unfortunately cannot make it . < SPORTRAC The first tyre to be created by top designers The initial brief given to the designers at Vredestein and Giugiaro Design was a demanding one: develop a V-tyre that not only meets the highest functional demands and norms but is also a classic in aesthetic terms. Or, put simply, create the perfect combination of form and safety. The dedication of the designers paid off: the Vredestein Sportrac achieves all this and more. Whether you take the Sportrac's reaction to wet road surfaces or its steering precision, this high speed tyre (up to 149 mph) guarantees total performance with absolute safety. And it looks great too. The Vredestein Sportrac: almost too beautiful to drive on and the first tyre with the signature of a top designer. > |

Those are pretty cool looking. However, from a strictly aesthetic point of view, I will take these Yokohamas:
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/yokohama/yo_avs_sport.jsp What have we come to... discussing the visual appeal of tires? Randy, how about those BF Goodrich tires with the pretty yellow stripes down the middle???

I saw these tires today at a vw show and a L.P. Benz wheel. I took pics of them n my cell phone. Where can you get them? If they still make them. They look sick

Just a tip on choosing a tire from an "ex-Engineering student" (And I'm almost positive that our resident Engineers will back me up on this)...
I NEVER choose a tire based on it's "looks" or it's "design", but rather on how well it is engineered and it's compound material... I'm not saying that those tires are crap, I'm just saying I'd rather entrust my safety and performance of my car to an Engineer, NOT a designer... ** SOooo, Who is gonna be the test Guinea pig? I am kinda interested as to how they compare with the Kumho MX's, Falken Azenis RT-615's and Bridgestone RE-01's ~ Chris

Damn I miss mine (except when it rains or I am trying to hear the passenger) Went through 2 sets of 215's and 1 set of 615's. If only we could get michelin tread rubber quality combined with an azenis sidewall..........

Holy 8 years ago Batman!!!
...I'm sure that after 7+ years there must be some feedback on these... and if not, swoop em up quick before they phase em out.... I wish I had stocked up on some G+4s for da buick while I could. everything either looks too odd, or performs less than desired... then again, even they had a hard time keeping up with the pavement after the swap
