Diff problem?

Hi, got a problem when reversing and on full lock. Seems as if the brakes are on. Also when in stoney car park, the back wheels seem to jump and grip rather than roll.
Is there a problem with the diffs?

Hi, Welcome to the club.

Is your car a UK, Japanese Import or USA model? Got any pictures?

The USA model has a different (inferior) 4WD system to the UK and Japanese models. Be aware of that when you read stories here of USA members having similar problems.

If your car is a UK or Japanese model, this thread might help you:

Nice one

Thanks for that. Think I'll try the fuse thing first and go spin my wheels somewhere..... Got her booked into Subaru place in Newbury on Sat, so hopefully get to the bottom of the problem.
Can I also ask..
Is my fuel tank 70 litres as it says in the manual. Only, I can only ever get max 46 / 47 litres in?? bit of a pain as i'm in petrol stations every 200 miles! At 91p / litre it's starting to hurt. lol.
are you getting roughly 20mpg with yours?

Well that was fun! did the spinny wheel thing and i think that has cured the problem. Doesn't seem to be any binding at all now when i reverse on full lock.

When i did the gear lever thing that gets the power button to blink, all it did was flash continously. Guess that's ok then.

Thanks for you help there.
