Dome Lights and Stereo Problems

My new SVX's dome lights wont come on and the stereo forgets the channels I program in everytime I turn off the lights. Also I can't unlock the trunk, only by using the internal latch can I open it. So, what gives? Am I a moron or is there something else?

It probably had an after market stereo that was removed... and they got the illumination and memory wires switched when putting the stock one back in, or something like that. Does the radio illuminate with the lights off?

For the dome... have you tried a new bulb yet?

The trunk could be due to an improperly cut key copy... or a worn out key.
You could try getting a NEW key cut by the dealer using the VIN instead of making a copy. Or try out other keys that may have come with it. What color is the key?? the valet key (grey I think) may not open the trunk.

no the stereo doesn't light up during day, no I haven't tried new bulbs, and the only key I have is metal and says for nissan on it.

This should be in Technical. The trunk lcok is probobly seized or it has been changed out because a key may have broken off inside earlier. The wiring in the head unit is botched up. The Constant power is hooked up to the ignition switch and the REM is probobly hooked up to the headlights somehow. Check a fuse for the done light
