Timing Belt Change, Special Tool?

So I've heard that you can easily take off the crank pulley by carefully using a strap wrench. I'm also going to change out my water pump and the Service Manual shows a "Special Tool" to take off the cam pulley. Can I use the strap wrench again?

I had to make a tool to hold the cam pulley in place. Some here have used a strap wrench successfully.
Crank pulley you can do the old "key the starter" method. Worked for me multiple times. I have also broke loose a crank pulley bolt with a strap wrench

Main problem with using a strap wrench on the crank pulley is you put so much force on the rubber dampener you can weaken it or even break it loose.
