Oxygen Sensor Code
Hello, I have a question about how to replace the left oxygen sensor. I just confirmed the code #37 following the instructions given on the how to documents. I think i have seen instructions on here before but i don't see it in the how to page. Or can i do it with regular tools. I would like to do it myself to save money. Any help would be great.
Thanks Mike

These are relatively simple to do, except for the fact they are in an awkward place. Phil [b3lha] on the Europen forum changed theirs, do a search on his posts, you will find a how-to. There is a small difference in price, a little cheaper, to buy generic plugs, the penalty is you have to splice the wires to connect. It is better to buy the Subaru specific ones which have the correct connector. Phil's system of putting them in is clever. He takes note of how many complete 360 degree turns it takes to remove them from the manifold. Then, when he connects up the replacement to the loom, he winds up the sensor BACKWAYS, so that as he is screwing it into place it is unwinding itself. or what? Joe
