Fabulous road!!

If you're ever in AZ or going through AZ, DRIVE ON HIGHWAY 88 between Youngberg and Tortilla Flat. If you go to mapquest and get driving directions between the two towns, you can zoom in on the road and see just how twisty it is. It's beautiful too. I'm addicted to this road after driving on it last weekend...may go again this weekend.

Twisty road

Wow!

I zoomed in and saw more and more twists in that road! Sounds like a ton o' fun. I also love to go carving roads in my free time! these cars are so stable in tight corners...

WOW! Sounds pretty cool! I'd love to visit AZ some day!

For those of you in Massachusetts:

Take a spin down Rt. 49 someday. It connects Rt. 20 in Charlton and Rt. 9 in Spencer. There are some HUGE, WIDE straight sections of road on this route...PERFECT for testing the SVX's high speed capabilities! It's usually very quiet on this road, which makes it even easier to drive fast. There's also a long section or two that head slightly down hill, making it easy to see the traffic situation ahead, if any.

Anyone else have some cool roads they know of??

Six miles of straight road that no one EVER uses. Great for high speed runs. Ooop, gotta run, the SVX wants to leave now.

I hate the midwest. Every road is flat and straight.

Sounds like a recipe for being scraped off the highway... Be careful!

Hwy 6 through Clear Creek Canyon is lots of fun. The only bad thing is getting behind someone who insists on the 40mph speed limit or one of the buses headed for Blackhawk.

great canyon carver

The SVX is a superb canyon carver. This was my first real canyon run in the SVX, and I had recently installed K&B springs. It performed marvelously. I could not get anything to break loose. Accelerating out of the apex really is what the SVX was made to do. Speed limit was 25 most of the way (Turns are tight and closely spaced). I hung in the 35 range through the turns, then kicked it up to 55 or so on the straights. There are some SERIOUS corners though that definately need the 15 mph speed limit. Luckily I was going slow for them, just by chance. One of them is a quick lefty up a hill, the hill peaks sharply, drops off on the other side, and them cuts sharply to the left...no guardrail. There was a cross there As fun as it is, BE CAREFUL!!!

i like the roads that are straght for as far as the eye can see (about 14 miles the curvature of the earth prevents you from seeing further) some day i would like to hit up the autobahn but thats just a pipe dream

That road looks like most of Vermont. Well, at least the paved parts of VT.

When I was planning my meet in VT, I found a road that was just unreal. It went up a mountain in a series of 180-degree banked turns. I really wanted to include it in my route, but then I also didn't want to feel responsible for how everybody drove on it.

I drove that famous route one day last Thanksgiving week while visiting my daughter. Unfortunately, I drove it in a rented Pontiac Vibe. Actually, it wouldn't have made any difference as to what I was driving, since I stopped every 500 feet & took pictures. It's a road everyone should travel before departing the planet.

Ron.
