i am not satisfied with any import mag other than import tuner. i think a few months ago super street mentioned the svx in vain along with the xt. it was a b11s column saying that when subaru tries to be dynamic, it fails considerably.
in my opinion street mags are a waste of time space and money.

Rob, how do you do it? Every time anything rice is mentioned anywhere on the site you pick up on it. Do you use a search engine of some sort for rice related items. You are the official B.S. Detector

Because I hate rice. Why? It is the ANTI logic, and ANTI reason. It's modifications that look functional, but without actually having enough knowledge to understand why a modification like that COULD be functional, and ends up just HURTING the cars performance instead of helping it.

Settle down Mr. Spock or should I say, "settle down...Francis"

I wish you'd get off the BS detector thing already Rob. People want to do what they want to their cars. Let them. If they ask for an opinion, tell them what you think. Not everybody is out for a performance enhancement (if they were truly performance minded, they wouldn't have started with an SVX). Many just want to express themselves with their vehicle mods. I say good for them. I may not like what they choose to do, or spend their money on, but it's not my right, nor yours, to tell them you don't agree with what they are doing.

I, for one, am tired of you trying to be the ultimate arbiter of what is good and right for people and their cars around here. Some one wants to blow their money on neon lights, giant wings, chrome wheels, giganitc speaker cables, in car electronics..... who cares. It's their money, NOT YOURS, so let them be happy with THEIR CAR, again NOT YOURS.

Todd

Oh I agree completely. But what I have a real problem with are the aformentioned mods with owners who CLAIM they did it for performance reasoning. POPPYCOCK! If they admit they did it "just for looks" and "just for show", or they state their aim is to build a showcar, I have NO problem with ANY modification.

But when someone slaps on a huge aluminum wing on the back of a FWD vehicle because 'they needed downforce', I'm sorry, NO WAY. They did it for looks, they just won't admit it.

you know what i saw a few months ago that i hated?
some pretty girl with a beautiful red car of some sort completely modded out the ass. looks perf everything. the TVs in the sideview mirrors were a bit ridiculous, but then again, it was meant as a show car. almost never gets driven.
all that money put into it so it can appear in a mag or two and win some awards then sit and do nothing. what a waste.

I think a ricer can be nice if it's done right and at least starts with the best model a complany makes (Si, Type R, Z24, GST, GTS, LSi, STI ) But real rice in the kid with (and i'm gona use an example from my home town) a base modle Crapalier that buys huge front and rear rice bumpers with no side skirts! and then spray paints them to "not really" match his car, with out taping over the turnsignals. That is bad rice!

Ok I'm getting tired of that statement. Wings have nothing to do with what tires are your drive tires. Wings give down forse at high speeds so your rear wont slide out in fast corners. More down force works as well on a front wheel drive as a rear wheel.
A spoiler on a rear wheel isnt going to help it excerate any more than a front wheel. Watch the GT racing and even the atuo crosses. May pros run FWD w/ spoilers.

A few things. Spoiler are different than wings. Secondly, do the 'pro's leave their wings at a neutral setting? Many ricers do.
