Ignition

Hello all,

My ignition is acting up again, as the ignition only catches in the latter 1/4 turn of the key, and takes a while to catch even then. Aside from replacing the ignition completely, what have others done to solve this problem?

Benny,

Do you mean the starter operates at the first part of the turn of the key but unless the key is turned further the starter keeps turning but the engine does not fire.

Or do you mean that the starter does not operate properly. Please be specific and give full details as nothing can be diagnosed without more info. Appears most likely an ignition switch problem. Several have reported faults in this area.

Re: Ignition

The starter doesn't even start until the latter part of the turn, and the engine fires somewhat weakly at first, but does fire 95% of the time.

Sorry for any confusion
Ben
