armrest puffiness

The tops of the escaine armrests on the doors have lost their padding/softness from wear, etc. Is there any way to reclaim their once soft feel? Can the escaine be pulled back and repadded easily?

Thanks,
Dan

Have you tried washing it with soap & water? Mines were simply soiled, but they looked like they were worn out.

I haven't tried that, but the padding seems to be worn down--when I push on the top of the armrest it isn't soft like when I push on the dashboard escaine. The armrest used to be softer.

When you washed the escaine did the softness return?

This is one time I'm glad I have the cheap L model interior with the vinyl door arm rests. I've noticed that most people have wear on the driver's side on the same spot.

Mine looked black and slippery before washing. It became normal after washing - not new, but soft and about the same color as the rest. Do not use brushes, do not rub it much, just a gentle hand wash.
