Automatic seat belt

I've got a question concerning the auto seat belt installation:

I've just totaled my '92 SVX and am in the process of acquiring a '94 LSi. But the '94 doesn't have the automatic seat belt, which I found a real plus in my '92. I was thinking of taking the belt kit from the '92 to install it on the '94. Can it be done? If so, does anyone know what to look for? Mostly concerning the electrical system (the mecanical part looks pretty simple since it's all in one piece)

Thank,

JP

Hi,

I have not done this and I am not sure about how to do it. Your 94 SVX may not have the required wiring to do the change over. There is also a computer that watches over this system on the 92. Don't forget the dash warning light that come on when the shoulder belt is undone.

I thought it was interesting that you like the auto shoulder belt.
I think most of us would be glad to get rid of the "stranglator" or "decapitator".
